Revival. Where every dog
gets a second chance.

We help dogs adjust to city life.

For the dog who lunges at strangers. For the puppy who has never known stillness. For the rescue who flinches at the doorbell. The unromantic, science-based work of teaching them how to live well in the world, and giving you back the dog you imagined.

You've been managing
this for months.

Cancelled walks. Cancelled guests. The quiet calculation of which doors to close before the doorbell rings. By the time owners reach us, they've usually tried two or three trainers and read everything the internet has to offer. None of it worked because none of it was diagnostic. We treat behavior the way clinicians treat illness: assess, prescribe, measure, adjust.

Reactivity

Reactivity

Lunging, barking, the leash explosion you brace for half a block away. We rewire the underlying pattern, not the symptom you're seeing on the sidewalk.

Fear & Anxiety

Fear & Anxiety

The dog who flinches at the doorbell, freezes on the sidewalk, hides when guests arrive. Confidence is built in protocol, slowly, measurably, without flooding.

Leash Pulling

Leash Pulling

A dog who walks beside you instead of pulling against you. No prong, no chaos, no theatrics. Just clean training and consistent reinforcement.

Resource Guarding

Resource Guarding

Food, toys, the couch, you. We work through it with steady, careful training and clear boundaries that keep everyone in the household safe, including the dog.

Separation Distress

Separation Distress

The dog who can't be left alone. Barking, destroying things, pacing for hours after you walk out the door. We work on it slowly and patiently, starting with just minutes apart and building up to longer stretches of time.

Revival means
a second chance.

We founded Revival Dog Training in May 2021 with one mission: to help fearful and reactive dogs and the owners trying to navigate life with them. The name was deliberate. Revival means second chance, transformation, emotional reset. Hope, change, redemption.

The mission is baked into the name. We're here to restore what the dog training experience should be, for the dog, and for the human who loves them.

Four locations across
Houston and New York.

Three in Houston. One in New York. Each facility is staffed by CPDT-KA trainers and built for the work: indoor protocol space, outdoor exposure, and the specific environments city dogs actually have to live in.

What Revival does
differently.

The difference between training that holds for a week and training that holds for years isn't talent. It's protocol, science, and the willingness to do the unromantic work.

Science-based, welfare-first methodology

Revival trains under the LIMA framework (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive) and the Humane Hierarchy used by certified behaviorists worldwide. No prong collars. No e-collars. No choke chains. No “balanced” methods. Behavior change is built through positive reinforcement, structured exposure, and protocols backed by decades of clinical research, because the evidence is settled, even if the industry isn't.

Certified trainers, on the floor

Every Revival location is staffed by CPDT-KA certified trainers (Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Knowledge Assessed), the most widely recognized credential in the field. Not assistants. Not handlers. The person who designs your dog's protocol is the person who runs the sessions.

Private groundskeeper

West University & The Heights

Both flagship Houston locations have a live-in groundskeeper who looks after the dogs day and night. Someone is on site 24/7, so every boarder is cared for around the clock, even on weekends and holidays. Real peace of mind, every time you leave your dog with us.

Personalized curriculum

No two dogs receive the same protocol. Every program is built around your dog's specific behavior, environment, and your household's actual life.

Daily video updates

You see the work, every day. Real footage of your dog's progress sent to your phone, not summaries, not photos. The actual training.

Off-site training

We don't train your dog inside a single room. Sessions happen in your neighborhood, on your streets, at your local park, in the real environments where your dog has to live.

We have had a wonderful experience with Revival's West U team. We took our Mini dachsund puppy for training classes and some day care and we will continue to take him for some follow up classes and day care as he matures. They make the process super easy and they really did listen to us when we shared areas we were struggling with. Their trainers are great and Mallory made the logistics super easy for us. We have used day care in other places and the groups were way too big for a tiny dog like Turbo, so we especially love the careful monitoring and pairing of pups.

I love revival! It has been so great for my dog. I have a German shepherd/husky mix that just turned 2 and he is full of energy and sometimes I didn't know how to handle it, but by bringing him to revival I've learned so much from having good walks, and just learning each time more on how to work together to have a better relationship with my dog ☺️!

Revival has been not only an amazing training resource, but also a little family for my high maintenance rescue pup, Harley! She loves her trainer, Bennett, who helps teach the both of us how to manage everyday scaries of the world. Thank you, Revival team and trainer Bennett!

The training, my young dog gets here is phenomenal. After the first day she spent here everyone noticed a difference. The videos that they sent to me show me how to be consistent with how I manage my dog's behavior so that we are all on the same page. It's incredibly helpful. I highly highly recommend Revival. Plus they patiently answer all of my questions and consistently figure out what's going on and give me great advice as to how to manage it.

What an amazing place! I send my 17 month old and 9 year old Golden Retrievers to play for the day each week with all of their furry friends. They both run directly to the entrance of Revival each morning they go and come home happily exhausted. To me, that means they enjoy it. The staff is fantastic, caring and knowledgeable.

I turned to Revival Dog Training when my pandemic puppy had rough time adjusting after the pandemic. He missed his socialization period. The trainers there worked with me and my dog. They were amazing! My dog is now good with other dogs and much better around people! I will keep going there for maintenance and he is also in their doggie daycare, too! I can't recommend them highly enough and we tried lots of other options! You won't be disappointed!!

Shibas are notorious for being stubborn and I'm so glad that we enrolled our puppy for 20 days of training at Revival! We initially enrolled our puppy at Petsmart but felt that it wasn't enough training and tools for our smart little guy. I love the fact that we always received 1-3ish videos of our puppy's training from that particular day so that we can track his progress! They really care about their reputation and truly care about the dogs and their progress. Thank you again!

My dog Daisy Bell needed to build her confidence around other dogs. The trainers at Revival met Daisy where she was then slowly integrated her into successfully being around other dogs. Now, we can go to the dog park and she can play with other dogs! I also loved the daily videos they shared with specific things to work on with Daisy! I can't believe I was going to accept the idea that Daisy could not successfully be around other dogs.

Revival dog training has been a great experience for our 4 month old rescue pup. They send us training videos each day that we can use to reinforce skills at home and our pup is so happy to be there. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Her loose leash walking and impulsive behaviors have improved. I love that they are reward based and give her lots of treats for her hard work. We will continue to send her to Revival dog training.

Revival is flexible, knowledgeable, and supportive. Ruby has been working with Jess and Ana weekly since November and with their help she has gone from street dog to well adapted and happy household companion! Revival has worked with us since day 1 on flexible and changing goals and has been a favorite part of our team since the very beginning. We'll be clients for a long time.
